Remedy is definitely not stingy with footage from the upcoming Survival Horror Alan Wake 2. The studio has already shown journalists two long gameplay demos (Gamescom impressions here), and the public has a lot of videos and several trailers. However, IGN magazine has now revealed 11 minutes of gameplay and it’s brand new footage, specifically from the third mission of the Anderson Saga.
The latter is already armed not only with a pistol, but also with a shotgun or a crossbow, while dueling during the demonstration will take place several times. The mission is set in Watery, the nearby town of Bright Falls, and Saga encounters several characters in it. Some of them even recognize her, which seems strange to an FBI agent, but the name Anderson probably says a lot. By the way, the cleaner Ahti from Control also makes a brief appearance and sings in one of the buildings. We don’t know yet if he will play a major role in this story, but it’s likely. This is just one of many links to Control.
Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 27 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
