Electronic Arts has unveiled a new game called EA Sports WRC in the trailer attached above. This is a racing game that will be built primarily on official license of the world rally championship, which EA has acquired since that year. From 2015 to 2022, the WRC brand was handled by Kylotonn and Nacon. Behind the development of the new WRC are experienced racing specialists from the British studio Codemasters, which from 2021 falls under the jurisdiction of Electronic Arts.
Specifically, this should be the team that brought both parts of DiRT Rally in the past. Developers beckon to 18 different locations from the World Rally Championship, which in total will offer more than 600 km of special stages on gravel, asphalt and snow. In terms of fleet, you can look forward to the WRC, WRC2 and Junior WRC classes to complement the 68 historic special vehicles.
The technical side will be taken over by the Unreal Engine, which the authors will supplement with their own physical engine from the aforementioned DiRT Rally. In terms of content, the game, in addition to the aforementioned licensed content, boasts Builder game modein which you can build your own car. There will also be cross-platform multiplayer for up to 32 players.
EA Sports WRC will be released November 3 on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The title will not work on the latest generation of consoles. Pre-order owners will get access to the game three days earlier. The price was set at 50 euros.
