New patch for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor brings DLSS and better optimization

More than three months have passed since the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. At the time, the game was not in a very good state, and although the developers released several patches during this time, they were mostly minor fixes. Now, however, Respawn has revealed a major update, number 7, that will offer a significant technical upgrade across all platforms.

On the PC side, owners of Nvidia’s RTX cards should be especially pleased, as the patch provides native support for DLSS upscaling technology. Until now, it has only been available as a fan mod, and the only official upscaling of the game has been AMD FSR 2. Early adopters of the patch report that Frame Generation for frame generation and Reflex for latency reduction are now also available.

All PC players will be pleased with other optimizations and improvements, although Respawn does not mention anything specific. Let’s see if we managed to solve the annoying stuttering.

There have also been major improvements on consoles. Performance Mode has been completely redesigned and some settings have been changed, such as ray tracing is now disabled. However, it should run at a completely stable 60fps. The new quality mode should also provide more consistent frame rates. Of course, it is still aimed at 30 FPS, but the developers promise visual improvements as well. At the same time, the PlayStation 5 version received VRR support, which did not work before. In addition, the game received many fixes.

In any case, the developers still have a lot of work to do, as, as announced a few weeks ago, a version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is also in development.
