CD Projekt executives revealed interesting information about upcoming projects during interviews with investors as part of the publication of their financial results (via VGC). In a separate news item, for example, we told you about the reasons behind the studio’s rejection of other potential expansions for Cyberpunk 2077. Studio representatives also revealed current distribution of human resources between individual projects.
It is reported that the largest number of developers (about 300) are currently working on the completion of the large Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, which will be released in the second half of September. The second largest team, estimated to have almost 260 developers, is working on a full-fledged project. new work of the Witcher codenamed Polaris. At the same time, the head of CD Projekt, Adam Kiczynski, said that after the release of Phantom Liberty, most of the team responsible for this extensive DLC will move on to the development of The Witcher.
This move should double the development team and overall I have about 500 developers. Therefore, it is clear that the new Witcher will be a top priority for CD Projekt after the release of Phantom Liberty.
