Developers from the Chinese studio Game Science showed a playable demo version of their game Black Myth: Wukong at Gamescom. It’s an RPG based mostly on soul-like mechanics. In terms of setting and plot background, the authors relied on the novel “The Monkey King”. But thanks to the use of Unreal Engine 5, the game also attracts attention with its technical side.
They are new to us thanks to IGN magazine. 20 minutes of gameplay. They are taken from the aforementioned arcade game that you could try out at Gamescom. The demo offers a relatively detailed overview of the game environment, as well as fights with several types of enemies, including bosses.
