Screen ranting

In its current form, Atlas Fallen is a great example of modern games with some interesting mechanics that other action games could benefit from.

Atlas Fallen may not be on any list of games of the year, but its creative and refreshing combat system deserves attention. The game will require a bit of patience, as the opening and closing acts are quite long in addition to numerous bugs, but there is clearly a solid foundation for a possible sequel.

Well done

While this gritty RPG lacks technical and visual complexity, Atlas Fallen is still a strong effort from Deck13, which continues to prove it can create interesting game mechanics and engaging combat.

meristation

Atlas Fallen is no surprise and its open world feels repetitive, but the gameplay itself is enjoyable and the combat system is interesting.

Atlas Fallen is probably best described as: I can’t wait to see what Deck13 comes up with next.

IGN

Atlas Fallen is a solid open world RPG with lots of platforming and huge monsters to fight. Aside from the lackluster story and squalid graphics of the console versions, this is a gem of great combat, meticulous exploration, and amazingly well-done updates. It’s a shame that the co-op is only online with no crossplay, but thanks to the solid technical execution, the game is remembered by me as one of the best worlds that I recently explored with a friend.

At first glance, Atlas Fallen has all the trappings of an open-world fantasy epic, but if you look a little closer, you’ll see a lot of problems.

Gaming Bolt

Atlas Fallen has its strengths in moving quickly and nimbly across the sand, but due to clumsy movement, inconsistent combat, and a general lack of care, it ends up being saddled with too many challenges for the game to reach its potential.

Good ideas fail because they are not implemented properly.

An action RPG with fun combat and spectacular scenery, hampered by bugs, confusing navigation and over-reliance on quests.

Atlas Fallen is hard to recommend. Between the broken controls and the really dizzying platforming, it feels like the game is trying to push you away.
