In April of this year, THQ Nordic announced the continuation of the Trine series, subtitled A Clockwork Conspiracy, which, as in the case of the previous parts, is being developed by developers from the Finnish studio Frozenbyte. Three months after the release of the game, we get the exact release date, which was scheduled for August 31st. Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will be released on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on this date.
The fifth part will try to continue the positively received predecessor with the subtitle “Prince of Nightmares”, released in 2019. From the point of view of the genre, we will again talk about 2.5D fantasy platformer with logic puzzles and support for local and online collaboration for up to 4 players. The developers also pay attention to the improved combat system, epic storyline, good accessibility and replay value, as well as thoughtful visual component. You can see the new sample in the preview above.
