Like it or not, just as the industrial revolution once changed the world, artificial intelligence is likely to change it forever. However, unlike the Industrial Revolution, this one is spreading Internet, which means much faster. Artificial intelligence can already partially replace many creative professions, such as graphic design, text writing or perhaps programming. But this does not mean that artificial intelligence will replace us … well … maybe someday, but for now it simplifies our work in the first place and makes possible what we slowly could not imagine until now. And since we’re a gaming channel, we’re going to look at this topic from a gaming perspective. What artificial intelligence will make it easier for us, what will it improve and what new opportunities will it open for us.
We have had artificial intelligence in one form or another for a long time, so first we need to explain the difference between artificial intelligence and AI and there was no generative artificial intelligence GenAI.
Generative AI is a special type of artificial intelligence capable of creating new and original content. It differs from earlier AIs, which were mostly more machine learning systems and which are based on pre-set rules or learn from existing data and then predict different behaviors, recognize objects, and so on.
On the other hand, generative AI such as the well-known GPT-4 is trained on huge amounts of data and can generate its own content based on those workouts. This means that this so-called “language model” can not only answer questions or complete tasks, but also be able to create new ideas and stories. Whereas, earlier AI and machine learning systems were limited to what they were pre-trained on. Certainly it’s not just text there are also models to create images, 3D objects, or even entire videos. GenAI is able to really “create” in a broader sense of the word – how vast, it’s too big a topic to fit in this video, and we don’t even know it ourselves yet.
