After much speculation and information from insider Dusk Golem, it’s finally here – a new announcement for the Clocktower survival horror series that has been put on hold for a long time. Unfortunately, in the end, it’s probably not as important as we’d like. The showcase of Limited Run Games did not announce a remake of the first part of 1995, but only a port for modern platforms, although it will bring some improvements (hence the official designation “Port+”).

The studio will take care of the conversion The way forward, which includes, for example, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp or the Shantae series. To create the port, the developers used the new Carbon Engine technology from the already mentioned company Limited Run Games, which should function as a tool to facilitate the implementation of modern features in emulated games.

The core of the point-and-click horror game Clock Tower in terms of gameplay, graphics and sound is the same as it was almost 30 years ago. However, it should be noted that the title looks west for the first time and gets an official location, the original game was only released in Japan. The improved version will also bring animated intros, cutscenes, new music and other modern improvements.

Clocktower+ port will be released early next yearwhile striving PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
