Studio Respawn already has some very successful titles under its belt, such as the Titanfall series or the popular Apex Legends battle royale. In addition, he is also behind games from the Star Wars universe, specifically the Star Wars Jedi series. Following the first volume subtitled Fallen Order from 2019, a sequel titled Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released in April of this year. While the game suffered from quite a few technical issues, it received very good reviews, with our score of 8 out of 10.
However, after several patches, it seems that the developers are already focused on the next part of the series. This is evidenced by the fact that Respawn is looking for new employees for various positions, specifically for the team working on Star Wars Jedi, as noted, for example, by Tech4Gamers magazine. Interestingly, one advertisement mentions that knowing Unreal Engine 5 is a big advantage, so the third installment will most certainly run on it. After all, it is not surprising, the first two games worked on Unreal Engine 4, and the transition to the fifth version is directly proposed.
By the way, this isn’t the first time there’s been talk of the third Star Wars Jedi. Previously, game director Stig Asmussen stated that he plans to make a trilogy out of the series. Of course, it will be a few more years before we see the third part.
