It’s been eight years since I saw this amazing trailer and thought, “Wow, I should have this game, it’s so timeless.” It’s been a few minutes since the trailer was released, and I’ve already installed The Division on my new PlayStation 4. AND I was shocked. After several hours of waiting in the opening room – because, as Ubisoft is supposed to, the servers were again not working as they should, and the first main mission could not be accepted either – I finally got into the world infected with a killer virus, and I liked it very much. At the time, I had no idea that all of this could happen on mobile phones in the future.
2023 is the year that more and more games are played on mobile, even if some gamers don’t want to admit it. But we carry mobile phones with us absolutely everywhere.
We got early access to the game Division revival and together with you, we will now see if Ubisoft can squeeze out of your pocket pets and your time.
When we talk about mobile versions of PC games, most of us are probably looking forward to various pay-to-win mechanisms, spinning boxes, or collectible heroes that we will endlessly exploit in automated arenas. But no, we’re finally getting a PC experience just the way we like it.
We will get Role-playing game with a third-person view in an open world where you have to complete many missions. A title in which you, as an agent of the Division, will try to resurrect a post-apocalyptic New York. While not a sequel to the PC version, it takes the player to the absolute. same universe. To a world where a deadly pandemic spread through money. To a world where your life is worth one dollar.
The Division Resurgence expands on the history of the previous installments and, of course, continues the gameplay itself. Shooting, completing tasks or collecting items is almost identical to the PC version, and I dare say that some aspects are perfect for mobile phones. I’ve played the original titles on both gamepad and keyboard and mouse and have always gotten used to good controls, so I was a little worried about legibility and ease of movement on mobile devices, but every button is thought out just right. You can even play connect PlayStation controller.
Now let’s see what the game itself looks like. ubisoft let us show first few missions and what the open world looks like, which is more than enough for a proper idea of the gameplay. After the first hour, the game was able to captivate me, and I really liked it. The graphics are great on mobile and I believe Ubisoft will bring it to mobile thanks to the currently used and now proven mobile engine. many more of your games.
The optimization during my testing was stable and adapted to the types of mobile phones. I myself played on a regular phone Samsung A52. So excuse me if the video’s graphics aren’t exactly top-notch, but I’d rather be able to test how the game would run on phones that most of us can afford. Of course, I will not deprive you of the opportunity to see how the game looks on higher quality devices, so I also completed one mission on ROG Phone 7. And boasting in the form of a sticker “console graphics” it’s really in place.
However, I have to say that I am happy to play even on an average machine with a stable 30fps without any noticeable drops. With graphics that were described as low for a phone in the $8,000 price range, I was able to enjoy the game.
When we combine The Division name, RPG elements and Ubisoft company, we can certainly expect a great grind. This means endless collection of items to upgrade your gear and level up your stats. The characteristics of clothing, weapons and our agent himself are necessary for the development of the plot and overall achievements in the multiplayer world. I would be lying if I said that in the mobile version of The Division, the developers tried to avoid this collection. Fortunately, this is an element that we are used to and actually use. some people even like itespecially for mobile games.
There weren’t many testers, so I can’t confirm how “alive” he’ll be in an infected New York. But from what I have seen, in the open world we will meet other random players in certain places and go through world events with them, we will go through missions with friends and most importantly we will meet opponents in the Dark Zone we are in. the opportunity to find better equipment than usual, but at the risk of being killed or robbed by other players. Promised this adrenalinewhich we liked in the original two parts.
There’s a lot going on in The Division Resurgence. In addition to primary and secondary tasks, of course, there are daily tasks, team and clan tasks, or general tasks. Apart from the frequent collection of items, I did not see any serious disadvantages in the mobile version.
Sometimes it happened to me that I he pressed the command to shoot at a time when I definitely didn’t want to shoot because sometimes my fingers are just too big for a mobile screen. But I was able to solve this problem with fully assignable buttons. Literally any instruction can be enlarged or reduced and placed anywhere on the screen.
I would definitely highlight the system of hiding objects, which is solved very intuitively on mobile phones. I was also worried about using abilities that I didn’t use on the PC versions. But in The Division Resurgence, I had abilities so close at hand, or rather at my fingertips, that I always fondly remembered that they would be good for enemies under my feet. one guided mine.
You don’t even have to worrythat the title will be wrapped in a bad story that will take you money and time to improve.
The characters we met in The Division Resurgence were interesting and original in the story. And most importantly, they were all fully voiced. I was a bit disappointed that the mini-games where you feel the power of the touchscreen were few and far between. During testing, I only experienced one particular game that was so fun that I directly demanded more of the same.
It’s clear that Ubisoft wants to breathe new life into mobile devices, which is what some of their games are made for. The level of The Division Resurgence is so good that I can imagine a full crossplay in the future. Now just get more people not to quit like that poor review by mobile game players.
