Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater Coming to PC After 19 Years

Undoubtedly, the project Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a recently shown remake of the cult action game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater since 2004, sounds interesting. But we have a feeling that for many players and fans of the work of the Japanese company Konami and Kojima Productions, the simultaneous display of the collection was more interesting. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1.

The reason is simple – The collection should give us the opportunity to replay a significant part of the Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid series.specifically iron mechanism (1987) Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1990) Metal Gear Hard (1998) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2001) and finally Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (2004). At the same time, it was not entirely clear on which platforms Master Collection Vol. 1 is heading and when exactly it will hit the market, but now, thanks to the new trailer, it’s quite clear to us.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 out October 24, 2023 in versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). It means that After 19 years, PC gamers will finally have a chance to experience the third part of the saga from the pen of renowned designer Hideo Kojima and his team.. Even Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was released only in the version for the MSX2 computer (and years later for mobile), so in this case we can talk about some kind of premiere on current platforms.

Though sometimes forgotten the rest of the games included in the collection have been released on PC. However, we can consider the first and second part of the Metal Gear Solid series proof that crappy PC ports were released all the time and under all circumstances, and that they definitely haven’t appeared recently.. However, the release of both games on the GOG.com store a few years ago, which was also complemented by a full PC version of the original Metal Gear, improved their reputation a bit. And as for Nintendo fans, they were able to play Snake Eater at least once on the portable Nintendo 3DS thanks to a special version called Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.

As for which versions of each installment in the Metal Gear Solid series will be offered in the compilation, the first part will apparently be available in its original form, complete with VR missions and special missions. We will be able to enjoy Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater again in versions from the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection console compilation.

Master Collection Vol. 1 will also offer various bonuses such as a digital soundtrack, comic book adaptations of the first and second parts of Metal Gear Solid or original Metal Gear and its sequel called Snake’s Revenge in the Famicon and NES versions.. Who knows, maybe this way Konami will finally be able to convince the general public that Hideo Kojima hasn’t always been automatically synonymous with the PlayStation and the collaboration with Sony. But when it comes to Sony, maybe Konami will give us a chance to play first. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots since 2008 and not only on PS3. Hopefully we’ll see with Master Collection Vol. 2. Great spin-off Metal Gear Solid: Peaceful Walker originally from the PSP and from 2010 would also be sorry.
