Verge magazine has published exclusive information about the gaming division of Microsoft, which does not bring good news to buyers. Two key products will rise in price soon.
The first is the console. Xbox Series Xwhich will increase from 499 euros to 549 euros. Thus, Microsoft will match the price of the PlayStation 5, which has already increased in price last year. The price increase will affect all countries except the US, Japan, Chile, Brazil and Colombia. The changes only affect the Series X, the less powerful Series S will continue to sell for 299 euros, while the 1TB version will go for the announced 349 euros.
Making you more precious from July 6 (for existing users until August 13) will also host the popular Game Pass service, offering a huge catalog of games. Here we also got Czech prices. Version for consoles will cost 269 CZK per month instead of the original 259. Version Finalwhich includes games for consoles and PC, as well as Xbox Live Gold and cloud games, will increase in price from 339 CZK per month to 389 CZK. The price of Game Pass for PC will not increase. Norway, Chile, Denmark, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia will also not be affected by the increase in prices for Game Pass for consoles.
“We have kept our prices on consoles for many years and have adjusted prices to reflect the current situation in the markets.” Kari Perez, head of communications at Xbox, commented on the price increase.
