Hideo Kojima revealed on his twitter what his role in the film will be Death stranded. Already at the announcement, we learned that he would appear in the film at least as a producer. Now he has dismissed the fears of some fans that his position will only be symbolic. He holds the project firmly in his hands.
“Just to clarify, I am actively involved in the production, supervision, planning, design, and content of the DS film adaptation, not directing,” Kojima wrote.

The film adaptation of the titled work of 2019 was announced by Kojima together with the production company. Hammerstone Studios in December, shortly after the official launch of Death Stranding 2. It appears that the film will not replicate the events of the game, but rather introduce a new story and characters to an established world.
In any case, the film is still in its infancy and we know next to nothing about it other than what has been described above. So one can only guess who will sit in the director’s chair or we will see someone from the diverse cast of the game on the silver screen.
