Kia Czech has partnered with the biggest Czech esports players, TryHard.cz gaming portal and historically the most successful Czech-Slovak organization eSuba to support, develop and educate the local gaming community. Part of the brand’s esports strategy in the domestic market is also the organization of a League of Legends tournament at the Vodafone PLAYzone in Prague called “DriveToVictory”. As such, Kia in the Czech Republic continues its global esports activities and support for the League of Legends EMEA (LEC).

By reaching out to the domestic esports scene, Kia is targeting a new audience of casual gamers and spectators. “This group uses certain channels such as community portals, livestreams on the Twitch platform, and community chats such as Discord. Our Discord content will gradually fill up with Kia Europe Headquarters’ new “Stay True to Your Line” campaign, highlighting the different roles players play in League of Legends,” describes Zbyszek Jordak, Head of Marketing at Kia Czech. , adding: “At the local level, we will be in close contact with the player community. In partnership with the most successful gaming teams, we will promote our activities on social media through online streams and online and offline tournaments.”

The gaming organization eSuba has historically been the most successful professional team in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Since its inception in 2004, the team has won more than 1,500 prize positions in tournaments around the world, including several world titles. As part of the partnership, Kia becomes eSuba’s exclusive sustainable mobility partner and donated a flagship EV6 model to the entire organization. The clean battery electric vehicle will be used to transport players to tournaments and for the needs of the entire team. The eSuba team will create educational content and organize an online tournament that will bring together dozens of teams over 6 months. The final of the tournament called “Movement to victory” will take place at the Vodafone PLAYzone Arena in the Chodov shopping center in Prague. Players will compete for official Kia merchandising, lessons from professional coaches, and the winning team will also win tickets to the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) finals this year in Montpellier, France.

A space on the TryHard.cz gaming portal was dedicated to actively communicating with players and promoting native editorial content. A weekly round-up summarizing insights from the world of League of Legends and video interviews with professional esports players and gaming influencers will be transmitted solely through the use of the EV6 electric vehicle. “The Czech League of Legends community is getting a unique partner through the involvement of the Kia brand. Through an official partnership with the LEC, Kia will offer a range of engaging LoL content, contests and experiences not only for TryHard.cz visitors. Soon we will tell more on TryHard.cz,” said Martin Liberski, owner of the TryHard.cz portal, which is part of the Grunex gaming media portfolio.

“The popularity and professionalization of esports is growing every year, and we are happy to be part of this community in the Czech Republic as well. League of Legends team play is an immersive environment where real players come together, a place full of inspiring moments, but also competitive and nerve-wracking sports moments. We look forward to active cooperation with players and esports enthusiasts and hope that we will be able to bring the world of Czech esports closer to people and parents who often do not even know that their children can be professional athletes and can even study at a university in this field,” concludes Zbyszek Yordak.
