AMD reported that there is indeed bug soon released drivers for graphics cards which can lead to unwanted CPU overclockingespecially regarding Ryzen-type processors from the same manufacturer.
“We are aware of something problem As reported by GameSpot, a spokesperson for the company said it was “about AMD’s software suite that has led to changes to certain AMD processor settings for some users.”
The bug is now listed as a recognized issue in the software release notes Adrenaline 22.4.1after being spotted by several AMD Radeon e GPU users AMD Ryzen processor.
Based on that, it looks like “Ryzen CPU Overclock settings change after resetting or importing a profile from Radeon Performance Tuning options”.
Users encountering the issue say that their Ryzen CPUs should have at least one warningbecause it’s not a properly standardized procedure but instead seems to happen in a “silent” way.
The issue was probably caused by an update to the AMD Adrenalin software a while ago that now lets you set a CPU overclock for users who have a Ryzen processor in addition to an AMD graphics card, controlling both devices through the same interface.
