Today, the Polish company 11 bit studios held a conference for investors, where we learned a lot of new information about the games that are created in these offices. Over the past few years, several projects have accumulated, but only now they are finally starting to come out.
First of all, we started talking about Frostpunk 2, the sequel to the successful survival strategy, which received a new trailer a few days ago. According to new information, it was he who was supposed to start a larger marketing campaign. We learned that the game will be shown to journalists for the first time in August at Gamescom in Cologne, then in September the developers will go on a US tour with the game. In the same month, the first gameplay trailer will be released, which will introduce the public to the gameplay. As for the development, so far it is going according to plan and all the main mechanics are already working. Finally, it was announced that Frostpunk 2 will be released in the first half of next year.
The second project is The Alters, which we don’t know much about other than the promotional trailer. However, even here we have learned that the game will be shown to journalists in August at Gamescom, and then in September in the US, and then the first gameplay trailer will appear again. Development is proceeding according to plan, the game is already playable from start to finish, and it will also appear in the first half of next year. We just learned that in addition to PC, the game will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the same day.
This was followed by projects from third-party studios, but they are published by 11 bit. First it was the sci-fi game The Invincible based on the book by Stanislav Lem, developed by Starward Industries. The title is already in beta, the final details are being finalized and localization into other languages is being prepared. The new demo will be available on June 19 as part of the Steam Next Fest. The full version of the game will appear sometime between the third and fourth quarters of this year.
The latest project to receive more space is the RPG The Thaumaturge by Fool’s Theory, which is also working on a remake of the first The Witcher. The game is also now in beta testing, it already has all the mechanics and it is only being configured and optimized. It will appear later this year, namely somewhere in the fourth quarter.
Finally, the conversation turned to projects that are still relatively far away. Of the internal ones, this is Project 8, which was developed for a very long time. It’s supposed to be a 3rd person action game with a strong story, and according to the developers, it’s a very ambitious and innovative project. We’ve finally learned that at least we’ll see a reveal next year.
External projects followed. First, Project AVA, which should be a very unique game that will be shown for the first time in the first half of next year.
Subsequently, Project Botin, an ambitious project by an experienced team, due to be presented sometime next year.
And finally, Project N, which is already playable from start to finish and will be presented in the third quarter of this year. It should be out in the first half of next year.
