Hi-Fi RUSH adds two arcade challenge modes

While it may be hard to believe, the creators of this great rhythm action game Hi-Fi Rush from Japanese studio Tango Gameworks, they might announce something before they release it. At least they did it in case a long-awaited update, the arrival of which is very recent foreshadowed adding new achievements on Steam.

Xbox Games Showcase Extended showed not a paid expansion, as many expected, but a completely free update that will expand Hi-Fi RUSH to two new arcade game modes. They are waiting for you after interacting with the machine gun that appears in the main characters’ hideout after completing the main storyline of the game. This way you will be able to try for example BMP Rush! mode, where the more enemies you destroy, the faster the rhythm will be.

In PowerUp! Tower up! one rather significant problem awaits you – at the beginning, Chai always loses all of his abilities, so you’ll have to practice them back in combat. And at the same time, you have to keep up with the rhythm and face especially difficult new opponents. At the same time, between individual waves, you can choose from different, randomly generated sets of improvements that can have both a positive and negative impact on your further efforts.

Thankfully, new content will be available in multiple difficulty levels, and of course there won’t be a shortage of them. a variety of challenges, completing which you can unlock all sorts of rewards. These include, for example the ability to call into battle a chatty robot named CNMN and an even more chatty Smidge machine gun, more costumes for 808 and Corsica, various cosmetics and t-shirts for Chey, or many filters, poses and photo mode stickers. Yes, photo mode has already learned how to use stickers here too.

As mentioned above, Arcade Challenge! Update for Hi-Fi RUSH will not be released today, but later July 5/July 2023 and will be available for free on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S. head of development department John Yohanas in addition, he revealed that a paid skin pack would also be released, which should offer costumes born from the idea of ​​how the game’s characters would have looked in a different era.
