This game is a 2D platform adventure cut from a metroidvania that is intertwined with a story that you have to empathize with and immerse yourself in. Your goal will be to join the old man who says to himself Ebenezer Scrooge. He is the protagonist of Charles Dickens’ 1843 novel A Christmas Carol, and because the book was fascinating, the premise of the story is also very interesting.
If you’re familiar with this book’s story, it won’t surprise you that Scrooge is aided by ghosts from his ghostly visitations that he experiences throughout the book. He and his allied spirits they protect London from the evil hand of Caspar Malthus and his militant private security.
However, the old man is not a pencil sharpener, and although these are hand-drawn characters in a nice graphical environment, you will get an action-packed experience. This will be made more difficult by the gradual unlocking of additional abilities that will allow you to progress through the game.
You will fight against evil and dark corners of the city thanks to the unique abilities of your spirits. Uncover the sinister influence of the Dark Spirit and his army and save London before it’s too late. All this in the spirit of Christmas, fairy tales and the sound of bells. Just be careful, you need to stop the dark hand of evil before it’s too late.
The release date has not yet been announced, but you can already try it, for example, on Steam. However, the game should be out before the end of the year on PC, PS4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch.
