Ubisoft has released the first developer diary for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage. In a video aptly titled “Back to the Roots” Ubisoft Bordeaux studio members they come close to what we have to imagine under the proclaimed return to the origins of the series since the announcement. Developers in their own words they want to convey the feeling of the first episodes series in its present form to the present day.
Thus, in the role of Basim, players will return to the Middle East (in particular, to Baghdad) approximately 300 years before the history of Altair. As part of the gameplay, the authors focused mainly on parkour and stealth. The way you move around the city in Mirage is primarily based on the Ezio trilogy. In terms of stealth mechanics, players can count on, for example, ability to use and control crowdsin which the main character can hide and sneak to the right place.
During the passage of individual missions, an important role will be played by finding out information and tracking a specific person, whom you will then try to kill quietly. At the very end of the video attached above, the developers briefly they introduced a nostalgia filter, after enabling which the game will acquire a color palette inspired by the first part.
