Attention CD Projekt RED and Fans Cyberpunk 2077 is currently preparing for the first and last story expansion. Phantom Freedom will be revealed in detail tomorrow night at Summer Game Fest. But the Polish company is not sitting idly by and adheres to the plan that from next year they want to work on two large projects in parallel.
One will Witcher, which will mark the beginning of a new trilogy on Unreal Engine 5 and the second direct sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. This will be done by a new team in the United States of America, led by The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 quest designer Pavel Sask. It should consist of 350-500 developers and will be supported by the Polish team. It should be fully operational in 2024.
The developers currently working on Phantom Liberty will move on to the next game once their work is complete. Most of them are expected to start work on the new Witcher.
However, don’t worry too much. New Cyberpunk under the label Project Orion still far. CD Projekt RED believes that in 2024 the game will only enter the research phase. Then there’s more Project Hadera new standalone brand is also in development.
