IGI Origins most likely will not be created, the authors of the stealth event are finishing

Development studio Games with antimatterbehind the popular game Rising Storm is in danger of shutting down after the parent company Enad Global 7 (EG7) have announced plans to close the studio this summer. This decision is the result of efforts to achieve greater predictability and profitability. EG7 said in a statement that they have considered various strategic options and have decided to limit further investment and close Antimatter Games.

This move will also affect the development of the game. Origins of the IGI, which, according to the statement, did not show sufficient traction. The company’s management is trying to create a more sustainable and predictable business. They considered various strategies such as outsourcing, selling the studio, or partnering with third parties to publish the IGI game. EG7 forecasts one-off costs of between SEK 15 million and SEK 25 million and believes that the studio closure will reduce the group’s annual operating costs by around SEK 50 million.
