Medieval adventure game repentance from Obsidian Entertainment, released last fall, is full of text. In fact largely based on a large number of texts. AND now the creators have greatly simplified the task for everyone who wants to get into the community translator.

Obsidian has released patch 1.2 for Pentiment which adds support for String Override on PC. It means that players can freely interfere with game texts and change them, with the update changelog specifically stating that this novelty is suitable for creating localization mods. That is fan translations. In addition, the developers are expected to provide relevant documentation in the near future.
The patch also adds official Japanese, Korean, and Russian localizations, or a simplified Chinese translation. Thus, Penmention now contains 11 languages. And while you may encounter a few Czech words while playing, as there are Czech-speaking characters in the game, Czech is unfortunately not one of the 11 officially supported languages. However, nothing really stands in the way of creating a possible fan translation right now..
Either way, it’s a commendable move. Fortunately, there are still quite a few game studios and companies in the world that are not against modding, but such direct support of the creators of community translations is still quite rare. And what’s worse, Patch 1.2 also adds one brand new location to the game called Outer Farms.where you will find several other dwellings.
