Henderson dismisses rumors that the remake will be a PS5 exclusive. But he doesn’t say if that will happen along the way of the Silent Hill 2 remake. In that case, Sony has a stipulated temporary console exclusivity. So the following scenarios are possible

  • The game will be released simultaneously on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • The game will be released on PS5 and PC, and later on Xbox Series X/S.
  • The game will be released first on PS5, and then on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
  • PS5 exclusivity in the form of ads or DLC

If the PlayStation Showcase announcement is confirmed, I personally lean towards the second or third option. The term of exclusivity can be several months, a year or more. As for the introduction to the game, it should be in the form of a trailer. It is reported that we will have to wait for the gameplay recording.

According to VGC in October 2021, he is working on a remake. Studio Virtuososwhich helped with, for example, Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West.
