Sony has released the exact date for the upcoming PlayStation Showcase event on the official PlayStation Blog. The conference will take place next Wednesday, May 24. The start is scheduled for 22:00 CET. The event will last just over an hour and will focus on upcoming games for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2.
The event is expected to feature several future games from PlayStation Studios and various titles from third party studios and independent creators. You can follow the action on the official PlayStation channels on YouTube and Twitch.
It’s almost certain that Insomniac’s highly anticipated action-adventure Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be given a seat during the conference, which should coming out this fall. According to previous information and indications, it is likely that we will see a multiplayer game from the The Last of Us universe from Naughty Dog or a new part of the Mortal Kombat series. But there’s also speculation that Konami might show a remake of part of the Metal Gear series here.
