Around the world World of Warcraft Classic has been spreading lately a new phenomenon in the form of Hardcore mode. This is a fan mod via an addon that tracks your progress in the game. The biggest difference from the classic game style is permanent death. Once your character is dead, it’s over… scumbag.

You lose your entire hero and must start from scratch. In addition to character removal, the mod also has several modifications, such as: The ability to complete the dungeon only once, before reaching level 60. The inability to use auctions or the ability to trade with other players (with the exception of the leveling partner).

Mod quickly gained great popularity and now you can find it on many servers. However, this can be confusing for some new players. Perhaps that is why Blizzard decided to add it to the game in an official way.

Following the tweet, developer Josh Greenfield appeared live for the Hardcore mod fan community. We don’t have much information and we’ll have to wait to see what form the official version of the Hardcore mode takes. However, Greenfield confirmed that Blizzard plans to make some changes on its own. One of them should be the ability to walk the world as a soul after death. Of course, a revival is out of the question.

The second innovation should be a duel system where players can challenge themselves. fight to the death. We don’t really have more information about the changes. All we have to do is wait and see what Blizzard surprises us with.

However, we know that servers must be completely separated from the classic seasonal. According to them, Blizzard noticed a lot of community interest in the hardcore mode and the passion with which players experience it.

There will be an open public test soon, and a full release is scheduled for the summer.

What awaits us next season is also shrouded in mystery. In the latest season called “Season of Mastery” we were able to enjoy faster progression to new levels and more difficult raids. And the next big update should be the turn giant dungeonwhere we will meet the biggest dragon in the history of World of Warcraft, Galakrond.
