Just a few months ago, things weren’t going well with Project Sirius, a spin-off from the world of The Witcher. The company responsible for it, Molasses Flood, got into trouble, which eventually led to “writing off costs to date and starting to form a new basis for the entire project.”
While many thought we wouldn’t see the game at the end, the finale looks like Project Sirius is back on track. At least according to new reports from CD Projekt, it seems so. However, this is not a complete reset, as one of the details provided in the study indicates: “The cancellation is the result of the decision to proceed with the project in a reformulated structure that builds on a significant portion of the already developed elements of Molasses Flood.“
However, there was no exact specification for the shape of the new title from the world of The Witcher, which was commented by one of the representatives of CD Projekt for PC gamer the following: “We have completed the process of defining a new structure for the Sirius project, which we mentioned in our regulatory filing dated March 20, 2023. We are excited about the updated direction, but are not yet ready to talk about the details.Given the past experience of Molasses Flood, the ending could very well be a roguelike, in which you theoretically go with one of the many members of the Witcher guild on a hunt. However, the latter is just a guess.
