While the previous installment of Age of Wonders did not achieve much success, in the case of Age of Wonders 4, we can say that there is an unprecedented interest in the title. According to a press release from the creators, in just four days, their new product managed to reach more than 250 thousand copies sold on the platforms on which the game is currently available.

The authors themselves comment on their success with a promise of support as follows:It’s incredible to see the reaction from veterans of the series and new players alike. We are all excited about the custom factions our fans are sharing, the smart strategies and guides that are coming out, and the wonderful and kind words we have received in reviews and on social media. All of us at Triumph are determined to continue supporting Age of Wonders 4 with additional content and updates, and we hope you’re ready for it!

The game was also positively rated in our review. The first major expansion for Age of Wonders 4 will be released this summer. Given the name Dragon Dawn, it will most likely be a dragon-themed DLC. It will most likely be available on its own, but is currently available as part of an add-on.
