Japanese publisher Capcom showed financial results for the 2023 financial year (from April 2022 to the end of March of the current year). They are almost exclusively positive for society, sales, revenue and profit increased. Financially, the company is now in its sixth year of continuous growth, and on Wednesday its share price rose to a record $39.
Capcom made nearly 126 billion yen in a year, roughly $940 million. This is an increase of more than 14% compared to the previous period. The company’s profit also rose, reaching more than $380 million.
Of the new games, a couple were bestsellers Monster Hunter Rise: Dawn And Resident Evil 4. The first named title was reached almost 5.5 million copies solda remake of the famous survival horror, which settled at the end of March (just a few days after the release) on 3.75 million.
In fiscal 2023, 12.4 million copies of new games from Capcom were sold, but most of the sales are from only 42 million they are responsible for the so-called games from the catalog, i.e. the ones that came out earlier.
