Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios have announced great news for everyone looking forward to the return of the iconic 1994 event. Complete remake of the first System Shock it is in the golden stage and will be released on 5/30 of this year. The game will be available on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store from 17:00 CET. It’s included as a bonus. free copy of System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition.
Console owners will have to wait, System Shock will be released “in due course” on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Details will be communicated “in the future”. Unfortunately, we don’t know more.
NEW ENEMIES AND ORIGINAL MATCH
The System Shock Remake combines iconic gameplay with all-new HD graphics, updated controls, a redesigned interface, and brand new sounds and music.. Players new and old alike also enjoy never-before-seen enemies, improved gameplay, a redesigned hacking system, and intuitive new combat options fueled by a brutal quartering system.

You will also encounter traps, puzzles and secrets to (hopefully) defeat SHODAN once and for all. Survival will require a combination of stealth, cunning and futuristic weapons.
“System Shock remake will test players’ skills in puzzle-solving and survival.” comes from the developers at Nightdive Studios, who worked closely with many members of the original System Shock team, including the voice of SHODAN, Terry Brosius.
