Capcom is reportedly working on a Dead Rising reboot

After the problematic development of the fourth part (it was released in 2016 on Xbox One and PC, a year later on PS4) and the distrust of the Japanese leadership, Capcom Vancouver studio was closed in 2018, and all its projects were canceled, but this does not mean that the series Rise of the Dead she couldn’t come back.

With the success of Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter and Monster Hunter, Capcom has found its footing and, according to unconfirmed reports, quietly preparing a reboot of the zombie killer Dead Rising. He claims that journalist and insider Jez Corden from the Windows Central server, although he has no further information about which studio is working on the resurrection of Dead Rising and on what platforms it will be released. But it is supposed to be a multi-platform release.

The Canadian studio Capcom worked on Dead Rising 5 until the closure. The brand itself was created in 2006 as an exclusive for the Xbox 360 and is focused on photographer Frank West, who had to look for items that will help him survive in a mall infested with zombies. In 2016, thanks to the Triple Pack, all three parts were released on the PlayStation 4, and Dead Rising 4 finally came out on it.
