Head of Xbox Phil Spencer commented on the Kinda Funny podcast about the recently released Redfall event, which was supposed to be among the most significant Microsoft exclusives in the first half of this year. But he plays received a cold welcome and in the reviews collects unexpectedly low ratings for a AAA game from a recognized studio.
Phil Spencer admitted that nothing is harder for him than to disappoint the Xbox community. One rates Redfall as a disappointment and try to learn from this failure. In addition to the general perception of the game being below expectations, he also mentions a frame rate issue. While there have been rumors in the past that the game will run at 60fps on the Xbox Series X/S, the current version only boasts a mode that offers 30fps gameplay.
The Xbox boss confirmed that the developers they are currently working on an update., which will allow you to play with the promised 60 frames per second. Framerate aside, Arkane Austin should be focusing on other mods and improvements going forward that should at least partially correct the current state of play. That being said, Spencer mentioned games like Sea of Thieves or Grounded having received a lot of support and a number of improvements since their release.
