Publisher Electronic Arts today introduced a new edition of the licensed racing series F1. A game called F1 23 was shown in the trailer attached above, which is mainly about story mode called Braking Point. He returns to the series after a year-long hiatus.
Background will be offered again duel between two fictitious riders represented by Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler, who will now become teammates on the new Konnersport Racing team. But the story will also feature up-and-coming racing driver Callie Meyer, who, as a rising F2 star, is likely to be in contention for a spot on the Konnersport Racing team.
In terms of gameplay, it was confirmed that for the first time red flags will be implemented (stopping the race after a major accident). It will also be possible to increase the race up to 35% of its standard length. Developers from the Codemasters studio also announced that the game will have a complete list of riders, teams and tracks of the current season.
Thanks to this, the range of tracks will also include new tracks in Las Vegas and Qatar. This year’s offer will also be supplemented by three pistes from the old parts (Paul Ricard, Shanghai and Portimão). The authors also appeal to an improved driving model, which should be realistic enough and at the same time accessible even for players who prefer a gamepad instead of a steering wheel.
F1 23 will be released June 16 on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. If you pre-order the more expensive Champions edition, you can start playing up to three days earlier.
