Tero Virtala, CEO Remedy Entertainmentreassured fans of the thriller author once again when he provided an update on how the Finnish studio’s individual projects are faring in the recently released financial quarter.
Alan Wake 2 has entered the final stages of development. This goes hand in hand with the news earlier this year that the game is playable from start to finish. It’s important to note that Virtala re-released Alan Wake 2 this year. So hopefully soon they will show the game properly, so far we have only seen the video announcement and a few photos.

“Alan Wake 2 is on its way to being a great game and that got everyone at Remedy excited” said the CEO of the company. It also means gradually reducing the size of the development team, people will transfer Remedy to other projects. They have other big games in the studio that players are looking forward to.
This is especially continuation of a successful management action since 2019 and a co-op spin-off set in the world of Control with the working title Condor. Both games have passed the game concept testing stage. IN Control 2 The team spent the first quarter of the year focusing on creating the world and game mechanics, as well as developing the game’s visual goal. At Condor, the team continued to steadily progress through this stage.

“The codename Condor, along with Control 2, will expand the Control brand, which will be one of Remedy’s cornerstones for years to come.” added Virtula, stating that they have found new ways to use existing assets and locations from the world of the original Control.
Development also continues remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, which is funded by Rockstar Games. The project is developing well and in the first months of this year it entered the testing phase of a game project. The development team is working on implementing proven solutions that worked in the originals. Remedy expects development to continue to go well and towards the end of the year, the size of the team will begin to gradually expand.
Latest project at Remedy Vanguard. The co-op free game is also in the concept testing phase of the game. Here, Virtala is praising the new key employees who helped the project pick up momentum late last year. They mainly focus on the core gameplay and the core game loop.
Recall that a year ago, Remedy had plans release four games by 2025. It seems that nothing has changed in this regard.
