Vampire Survivors only caught the attention of a handful of players with its story because it’s not presented in any intense way. However, there is a backstory, and now Studio Story Kitchen has decided to turn it into a series that realized the potential of the brand and decided to use it to tell the story of the clash between the Belpaese family and Biscontem Draculo. The creators comment on their choice as follows:When our creative director Dan Jevons brought it to our attention last year when Vampire Survivors came out, we were ready to dismiss it as just another vampire game. Hundreds of hours of play later, we were all hooked and just couldn’t get enough of the game!!! Needless to say, we are honored to be working with this incredible team to continue the story of Vampire Survivors!“
There aren’t many details at the moment, but perhaps they will focus on why you don’t actually encounter vampires in the game, as the game developer’s answer suggests. Luca Galant: “I think the most important thing about Vampire Survivors is the story, so it’s a dream come true to see how what started out as a little indie game I made over the weekend comes to life as an animated TV show! It’s also great to work with such experienced and talented people to create the show.
