Authors of a non-standard fishing adventure Dredger boasted a game expansion plan that includes three major free updates and one paid package.
In May, fans can expect a free update Marks on the map with multi-colored icons on the map for more efficient navigation. These icons will represent everything: dangers, shipwrecks, mysteries and more. In addition, this update will include some fixes and balance changes.
The second update is scheduled for the second quarter of this year and will bring two new modes with very different ways to enjoy Dredge. The first one passive mode, designed for players who prefer a less intense gameplay. The monsters that usually attack fishing boats will no longer be aggressive, allowing players to focus on fishing and enjoy the peaceful environment.
The second mode of this update Photo mode. But it won’t be just a menu choice. The developers are taking a different approach, and when Photo Mode is launched, a new character will be added to the game to help players unlock the camera and share clues on where to find some local sea creatures. This mode will be linked to the PlayStation Screen Sharing feature so you can share your catch, whether it’s majestic whales or the night terrors of the deep sea.
During the third quarter, they promise a third free update that will enrich the game by ship modificationssuch as paints and flags. But first, you need to unlock content by exploring coasts and bays.
The paid package will arrive later this year and will appear in it mysterious corporation Ironhavenwho wants to start innovative drilling in the area. It is supposed to restore the cities and the population, but its ultimate goals are unknown. As you gather materials to build new buildings and bio-materials to power the rig, and meet new characters, you can uncover the truth behind their potentially nefarious deeds. And you will also make new equipment and catch new types of fish.
Dredge is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam and GOG).
