Arkane Studios, developers of 2017 Prey, for example, today released a new co-op FPS called Redfall.

What ratings does the novelty receive from foreign reviewers? You can find the answer below.

We got that cover

Redfall will amaze you with rich, beautiful open worlds, an abundance of weapons and a wide variety of enemies. Even this time around, players won’t regret jumping on Arkane’s latest masterpiece.

Xbox era

Redfall is fantastic in many ways. However, this is held back by some cryptic co-op design decisions and some frustrating technical issues. The game is pretty darn fun on its own and downright awesome in co-op. It may end up being the lowest rated Arkane game in history, but it will be the most successful in their entire history. Alone or with friends, Redfall is a game that every fan of the genre should play.

IGN Spain

Redfall becomes the most entertaining Arkane game ever: no moral dilemmas, no existential questions, just pure fun with friends and alone.

Gaming Nexus

Redfall is a bigger and more elaborate game than I expected. The multiplayer is fun, but I enjoyed it even more solo. I was sneaking around with a sniper rifle, shooting vampires from a distance, and I was also able to play Redfall as a stealth game, which was a lot of fun. There are still some technical issues to be resolved, but there is a lot of fun for people who are used to the spooky open world.

SpazioGames

Redfall showcases some good ideas (especially in the level design), but not enough to compete with Arkane’s brilliant previous efforts.

Fan attack

Redfall is by no means a groundbreaking game, but sometimes it’s just a fun game, and Arkane has created a hell of a fun experience.

Metro GameCentral

Immersive simulation meets four-player co-op in this vampire first-person shooter with passable gameplay but a complete lack of imagination.

Gaming Bolt

Redfall is the most unsuccessful Arkane game to date. Fascinating environments and some remnants of the developer’s favorite gameplay formula are not enough to overcome the game’s many problems, from tight controls and unsatisfactory routine design choices to lackluster story and technical flaws.

Well done

Redfall is a disappointment in the realm of open-world first-person shooters that lacks even a hint of the atmosphere or creativity we’ve come to expect from Arkane Studios.

GameSpot

Redfall is a game that hasn’t been released yet. A bunch of bugs interfere with the game loop of exploring the world with friends, and the loop itself feels compromised by elements that are poorly executed and implemented. I can’t pretend to know if Arkane decided to make this game or if they were commissioned to do it. As a result, after beating the game, all that remained was the feeling that my favorite studio had become something completely below average.

Hey poor player

Between half-baked gameplay, a repetitive open world, and surprisingly poor optimization, Redfall feels like a game still in alpha rather than the flagship product of Microsoft’s premium subscription service.
