Thanks to DLSS 3, the frame rate in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will double.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is another game in the series that has major technical issues. This applies to both consoles and especially PC. Digital Foundry named the game the worst PC port of the year… well, at least for now. Also, one of the drawbacks of the game is the fact that it only uses FSR scaling technology, which is likely due to the fact that the game is sponsored by AMD. This is far from the first time a title has been released without DLSS or XeSS support. Owners of Nvidia cards thereby lose the opportunity for better image quality, and specifically owners of the RTX 40 series model also lose the ability to use DLSS 3, and more precisely its image generation aspect. However, this did not stop a fan with the nickname PureDark from adding this technology to the game himself.

You can see the result in this video. As you can see on the right side of the screen, the game initially runs at about 45 FPS, but thanks to Frame Generation technology, the resulting value is about 90 frames per second, which is almost twice as much. However, PureDark himself adds that the implementation is imperfect and causes noticeable artifacts due to the fact that DLSS 3 does not have all the necessary data. This could only be achieved with a native implementation directly from the developers, which we probably won’t see.

However, if you agree with the shortcomings, PureDark says they will most likely release the mod soon. In addition to Frame Generation, he is also currently working on the implementation of DLSS upscaling.
