When players don’t like something, they often resort to review bombardment, where the best games are given negative or extremely low ratings to draw attention to issues they don’t like. The latest target of this “fight” with different ideas is the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores expansion, which is under attack from the community on the Metacritic server, where the expansion currently has a user rating of 4.9, which is not bottom, but for a game from big the company does not look very nice.
And what does the community not like this time around? The goal was the LGBT themes presented in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores through Aloy’s close relationships with other female characters. One of the users mentions the following in his review: “Great game, but the CHOICE plot really ruins it. Is this how every Playstation exclusive character ends now? Kratos or his son will be next. It is absolutely ridiculous to address 5% of the population. When will people learn? Woke up, broke. Besides, white men are not that bad by nature. And it comes from a man who is half Hispanic, half black.“
However, not all reviews negatively assess only this issue. Some players didn’t like the story, and others are wondering why the expansion isn’t on PS4 either, because, at least in their opinion, it’s not such a big shift. Dissatisfied players at the moment are the majority, but not everyone likes Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. There are also positive reviews, so it is possible that negative ones will prevail in the coming days. This is not the first time the Horizon Forbidden brand has come under such targeted attack. For example, in the past, the community did not like face painting. The fact is that the dissatisfied always manage to find some problematic factor and thus a reason for criticism.
