Magic shooter Immortals of Aveum from the former creative director of Dead Space and Call of Duty was compared to the famous series from Activision when it was recently announced. But in today’s six-minute gameplay trailer, it turns out that rather than Call of Duty, it’s closer to Wolfenstein’s “run and gun” style as you don’t have to tell much. However, dueling or casting spells requires tactics to deal as much damage as possible.
The video above shows them all. three kinds of magic (red, blue and green), a few special spells and a few skills. We see the fight against hordes of small enemies, as well as huge ones, including the dragon. Also shown is a simple puzzle and equipment menu.
If you’re interested in the difference between paints, green magic causes quick explosions that can hit enemies, while red magic does more damage, but you can’t fire that fast. Blue magic allows you to shoot long distances, but is also used as an effective lasso.
In other words, here we have assault rifle, shotgun and sniper rifle, as well as grenades. Understandably, not everyone will like it. Criticism is already appearing, but there are, of course, those who are looking forward to Immortals of Aveum. They will be available on July 20 this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
