Starfield will not have Russian localization

Starfield is getting closer and closer, leading its creators to take different steps. The last and most controversial for the series is the removal of support for Russian localization, so the part of the community that speaks this language will put up with the fact that the game will not have subtitles, dubbing, or a Russian-language interface. Bethesda isn’t the first studio to make such a move, but it’s odd that this only applies to their upcoming big RPG. For her previous projects, she did not join him, and we are talking not only about those already released, including Skyrim or Fallout 4, but also about the upcoming Redfall event, where you can still find support for Russian localization. .

A definite factor could probably be the fact that while the aforementioned games have already been released or will be released soon, in the case of Starfield the translation may not have been fully completed yet, and therefore its cancellation made sense for the creators. However, this is a surprise move for fans as the language is not used by a very small percentage of players. What exactly prompted Bethesda to make this move isn’t entirely clear, and we’ll likely find out more in the coming days.
