The first Farming Simulator for PC was released on April 14, 2008, marking the beginning of a new series that has continued to evolve into a major gaming brand, from the cooperative multiplayer mode in Farming Simulator 2011 to the release of the Farming Simulator 2012 series for handheld devices followed by console versions in 2013 by creating official esports leagues with Farming Simulator 19 for cross-platform multiplayer in Farming Simulator 22.

Farming Simulator 22 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with Czech subtitles. The game is available with the Year 2 Season Pass, which includes four packs and expansions, allowing fans to save up to 30% compared to purchasing content individually. Farm Simulator 23 releases May 23, 2023 on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. Switch will have Czech subtitles for the first time.
Pre-orders for Farming Simulator 23: Nintendo Switch Edition are available from select retailers and Nintendo eShop. Mobile versions for iPhone, iPad and Android devices will be available on the App Store and Google Play.
