The countdown has ended, and with it the new trailer for the animated film Resident Evil: The Island of Death. He confirmed what we’ve already learned from yesterday’s leaks, that Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire and Rebecca will appear in the film. Also, by the way, it looks like Leon’s informant Ingrid Hannigan will also be in the movie, or at least we’ll hear from her.
We still need to wait for the cast to be confirmed, but based on the votes, fans have deduced that Chris is voiced by Kevin Dorman (as in the previous Vendetta movie, but not in the new games), and Leon is voiced by Matthew Mercer (as in RE6 and Vendetta, but in recent games he was christened Nick Apostolides).
So far, only the Japanese trailer has been released (albeit with an English dub), which teases a July 7 premiere date. But whether this also applies to the West is not entirely clear.
It looks like Kevin Dorman and Matt Mercer will be playing Chris and Leon again in Resident Evil: Death Island. They used to play characters in Vendetta but not in recent games (RE7, Village, RE:2, RE:4).
