Juan Fernandezduel designer from ninja theorywho is currently working on the sequel to the successful “AAA indie” game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, spoke to the Spanish site Vandal about how the mechanics in the second part will move and what will be better.
Fernandez realizes that while Senui’s mentally ill story has been a great success, they as developers could have done a lot better. And the duel is one of them. “The last thing I liked about Hellblade was the lack of enemy diversity. The enemies were too tenacious. Players had many different attacks and combos to choose from, but weren’t really encouraged by the enemies to use them. People found two or three moves they liked and kept repeating them,” he explains.
This should change in the next news, this time in the Microsoft archive. The authors previously boasted that there would be a duel brutal and realistic also due to the fact that the main actress is undergoing combat training.
According to Fernandez, the first part consisted of about fifteen people. They now have significantly more employees at Ninja Theory, as well as more time and money. However, they believe that since the development of the predecessor, they have basically increased their productivity in relation to the size of the team. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PCrelease date has not yet been published.
