A few days ago, Wildcard Studio announced that the initially free update for their game Ark: Survival Ascended will eventually become normally paid, which pleased only a few. However, the announcement that the Ark: Survival Evolved servers will be shutting down in August and that the community will be able to move to the new servers seems to have angered users even more.
Only a small number of players really liked this act, so after this announcement, a number of negative reactions began to appear on Steam, which are essentially meant to represent the mood of the community. It could accept a paid update, but there shouldn’t be official server shutdowns, which the game’s current owners see as something that should force them to buy the new version. In conclusion, however, it must be noted that this situation does not apply to player-managed servers. Thus, they can continue to play with pleasure.
