Gord is a single player horror strategy adventure game based on Eastern mythology. Here you will be put in charge of a community at the beginning of the story, whose village you must take care of. You can build palisades, various production buildings, as well as training buildings aimed at improving the abilities of monoliths.
However, in your village there are not only traditional Slavic inhabitants, but also a part of the community, apparently coming from Africa from other countries of the world. This is an interesting step of the creators, which in the future may become a thorn in the eye of many players who are fans of Slavic mythology. All of them can be trained, and then sent on adventures scattered throughout the village.
Gord on PC doesn’t have a release date yet. However, the game should be released sometime in 2023.
In this week’s devlog, we’re discussing the villagers of Gord, why mixing the two genres didn’t work at first, and how we ended up in a strategy adventure setting.
