When you’re filling up your desktop memory with games or other files, there’s nothing easier than going to a store/online store and buying a new drive (if you don’t want to delete any data). Whether it’s a hard drive or an SSD, the price-to-performance ratio is very decent these days. But if you have a game console, expanding the installation space for a few more games may cost you quite a bit.
The Xbox Series X still performs well as it offers 1TB of storage, which is enough for more modern graphics-intensive games. However, in the case of the cheaper Xbox Series S, the amount of storage is one of its main drawbacks. since it only has 512 GB of space.
However, sometimes it’s useful to have a few hundred extra gigabytes, and that’s what they’re made for. dedicated memory expansion cardswhich can be entered into the console connects as easily as a flash drive to a computer. However, we could expect further extensions soon, but from a completely new manufacturer. They appeared in the American online store Best Buy for a while. cards from Western Digital, and although the pages are no longer available, they have not escaped the keen eye of The Verge’s Tom Warren.
Although the Western Digital C50 labeled memory expansion is still quite expensive, it will be $40 cheaper than the competing model from Seagate. The 1TB card was spotted for $179.99, which equates to 3,900 CZK. If a product reaches us after it has been released, its price here can exceed 4500 crowns.
But keep in mind that memory expansion from Western Digital not officially announced as a company as such, and not Microsoft. Unfortunately, Best Buy’s page doesn’t list a release date or start pre-orders, so the release date can only be guessed at. It can also be discussed whether other options will be available in addition to the 1TB model.
