Real time strategy Company of Heroes 3 got a new update called Operation Sapphire Jackal. This is the first major update that brings new content, improvements and better optimization.
News include daily and weekly challenges available in multiplayer and cooperative modes. Tasks are selected randomly and include different tasks, for example, you need to destroy 50 vehicles with anti-tank guns or reach the rating of Wehrmacht infantry veterans. Challenges are designed to motivate players to play as different factions and try out different weapons and tactics.
As you complete challenges, you’ll earn Merits, an in-game currency that you can use to unlock cosmetic accessories. They are designed to customize units and armies in both single player and multiplayer modes. Developers from Relic Entertainment want to Balanced mix of free and premium content. Also here we have bug fixes, balance adjustments and help improvements.
Company of Heroes 3 was released on February 23, 2023 on PC. with Czech subtitles. Versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will arrive later this year.
