After a series of hints, leaks and speculation, today Valve has officially unveiled the new Counter-Strike. A game just called Counter-Strike 2 and will be released this summer as a free update to the existing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Game presentation accompanied by three demonstrations, which represent various improvements in terms of visuals. The first video is dedicated to smoke machines that react to light, gunfire and explosions. Thanks to this, you can disperse a cloud of smoke for a short time, for example, with explosive grenades or by shooting itself.
The second material is accurate and immediate information system, so movement and shooting will no longer depend on the tick rate. As a result, the same response should be supported under all circumstances.
In the third video, the authors present completely redesigned maps in terms of graphics. Counter-strike 2 it will use the more modern Source 2 engine, which will especially affect the visual side of the game and the processing of individual maps and objects. In addition, thanks to the tools of the Source 2 engine, the community itself will also be able to come up with other innovations. At the same time, the developers assured the player that the existing inventory of collectibles and skins from CS: GO will be automatically transferred to the new version of the game.
