Electronic Arts announced on its official website that will be downloaded from the digital giveaway on April 28 four of his old games. The games listed below will no longer be available for digital purchase after this date. The second phase will follow on December 8, when all online components and multiplayer modes will be disabled for these games.

The end of support covers the following games:

  • Battlefield 1943
  • Battlefield: Bad Company
  • Battlefield: Bad Company 2
  • Edge of the Mirror

The most affected game will be Battlefield 1943, which was released in 2009 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Thanks to backwards compatibility, it also works on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. But since this episode released digitally only and only contains multiplayer, so after the aforementioned date it will no longer be playable or purchasable. For the remaining three games, at least the single-player modes will remain available to existing owners.
